According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 23,297 mt in July 2023, up 23.1 percent from June and up 26.6 percent from July 2022. By value, rebar exports totaled $21.1 million in July, compared to $17.5 million in the previous month and $20.9 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in July with 17,886 mt, compared to 15,635 mt in June and 15,223 mt in July 2022. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 4,436 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in July.
