US rebar exports up 14.2 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of US exports of rebar totaled 42,963 mt in November, up 14.2 percent from October and up 144.5 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $28.3 million in November, compared to $24.8 million in the previous month and $9.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in November with 38,339 mt, compared to 33,739 mt in October and 13,553 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 3,148 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) of US export rebar in November.
