US producer Geneva Steel is likely to be liquidated

The bankrupt Geneva Steel Company, the integrated US mill located in the south of Salt Lake City, announced on Monday November 18, 2002, that the business plan with a November 15, 2002 deadline, is dropped due to the failure of securing the necessary loan.
