According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of line pipe totaled 57,639 mt in November last year, up 22.9 percent from October and 51.9 percent year on year. By value, line pipe imports totaled $83.6 million in November last year, compared to $61.4 million in October and $44.8 million in November 2023.
The US imported the most line pipe from South Korea in November with 27,764 mt compared to 18,212 mt in October and 8,124 mt in November 2023. Other top sources of imported line pipe in November include Mexico with 9,511 mt, the United Kingdom with 2,633 mt, Thailand with 2,625 mt, Japan with 2,552 mt, Italy with 2,344 mt, and India with 1,992 mt.
