The
US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Wednesday the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping order on stainless steel
plate in coils from
Belgium.
The review covers one producer/exporter – Aperam Stainless
Belgium N.V. (ASB) – during the period of review from May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013.
The DOC has calculated a preliminary dumping margin of 1.53 percent for Aperam Stainless. This compares with the current dumping duty deposit rate of 0.63 percent for ASB.
ASB was formerly ArcelorMittal Stainless
Belgium N.V.
The DOC plans to complete this review by October 2014. Until that time, the current dumping duty deposit rate will remain in effect. Any change in the deposit rate as a result of this review will become effective only when the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.
