On January 13, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of the administrative review of its antidumping (AD) duty order for stainless steel sheet and strip in coils from Mexico, making changes from the preliminary results on published on August 9, 2010.
As a result of the review, covering July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, the DOC determined the final margin of 21.16 percent for ThyssenKrupp Mexinox S.A. de C.V. (Mexinox), while the margin for all other producers/exporters continues to be 30.85 percent. The duties will apply retroactively to the period of review and will also serve as the deposit rate going forward.
The margin determined in the preliminary determination was 14.48 percent. The margin which was valid according to a 1999 AD order for Mexinox was 4.48 percent.
The petitioners in the review are: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation, AK Steel Corporation and North American Stainless.
