US DOC issues preliminary CVD rates for cast iron soil pipe imports from China

The US Department of Commerce (US DOC) has announced the  preliminary determination in its countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on imports of cast iron soil pipe from China.

Accordingly, the DOC has calculated preliminary subsidy rates of 13.11 percent for Yuncheng Jiangxian Economic Development Zone HengTong Casting Co. Ltd, 111.20 percent for Kingway Pipe Co., Ltd. and 13.11 percent for all other Chinese producers and exporters.

The products subject to preliminary countervailing duty are currently classifiable in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under subheading 7303.00.0030.

The DOC is scheduled to announce its final determination on November 8, 2018, unless the statutory deadline is extended.
