On October 19, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium
On June 8, 2009, the DOC published in the Federal Register the preliminary results of the seventh antidumping duty order on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium. The petitioners in this case include: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation, North American Stainless, United Auto Workers Local 3303, Zanesville Armco Independent Organization, and the United Steelworkers of America, AFL-CIO/CLC. This review covers one manufacturer/exporter of the subject merchandise: ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. (AMS Belgium). The period of review is May 1, 2007, through April 30, 2008.
Based on the analysis of the comments received, the DOC has made changes to the preliminary results in the calculations for the final dumping margin. Accordingly, the DOC has determined that a 6.57 percent weighted-average margin exists for the period of review.
The "all-others" cash deposit rate will continue to be 9.86 percent, the rate established in the less than fair value investigation on March 31, 1999, if neither the exporter nor the manufacturer is a firm covered by this review, a prior review, or the original investigation.
