On Monday, November 09, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order against stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium.
The review covers one producer/exporter - ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. - and the period of review is the 2007 calendar year. The DOC has calculated a final countervailing duty margin of zero (0.00) percent because ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. had no countervailable subsidies during the period of review.
Accordingly, effective November 9, 2009, the CVD deposit rate remains 0.00 percent for ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. In addition, the DOC will send instructions to US Customs and Border Protection to liquidate entries that were made during the period of review.
There is also an antidumping order against stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium, and the dumping duty deposit rate for ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. is 6.57 percent.
ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V. was formerly Ugine & ALZ Belgium but the company changed its name after the merger of Mittal Steel N.V. and Arcelor S.A.
