On June 30, the US Department of Commerce announced its final results of the antidumping (AD) duty administrative review on certain welded stainless steel pipes from South Korea.

On December 24, 2008, the DOC published in the Federal Register the preliminary results of the administrative review of the AD duty order on the subject merchandise from South Korea. The review was requested by a US-based domestic interested party Bristol Metals LLC, and covers one producer, SeAH Steel Corporation (SeAH). The period of review is December 1, 2006 through November 30, 2007.

Based on the results of verification, its analysis of comments received, and its consideration of information submitted by SeAH on January 26, 2009, in the supplemental questionnaire response, received subsequent to the issuance of the preliminary results, the DOC has made adjustments to its margin calculations.

Accordingly, the DOC finally calculated a weighted-average dumping margin of 9.05 percent for SeAH, up from a preliminary margin of 4.1 percent.
