US DOC issues final AD decisions on certain stainless steel coils from four countries

On October 7, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its expedited second sunset review of the antidumping (AD) duty orders against stainless steel strip and sheet in coils from Germany, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
The DOC has made affirmative determinations, finding that revocation of the orders would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of subsidizing, determining the following margins:

Domestic interested parties in the investigation were K Steel Corporation; Allegheny Ludlum Corporation; North American Stainless; the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial Service Workers International Union; United Auto Workers Local 3303; and United Auto Workers Local 4104.

The US International Trade Commission is also conducting a full sunset review of all of the orders, and a negative injury determination by the commission will result in revocation of the orders, regardless of the DOC's determinations.
