On March 7, 2002, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed an antidumping duty order on stainless steel bar imported from the UK.

On April 28, 2006, the DOC initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel bar from Enpar Special Alloys Ltd (formerly Firth Rixson Special Steels (Enpar). The review covered the period March 1, 2005, through February 28, 2006.

In the preliminarily results dated March 30, 2007, the DOC determined that Enpar made sales of the subject merchandise below normal value in the US during the period of review. Accordingly, a preliminary dumping margin of 33.87 percent was set for Enpar.

Based on the comments received, the DOC has decided to make changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results of this review differ from the preliminary results. The final weighted average dumping margin for Enpar has been set as 34.35 percent.
