US CRC exports down 1.6 percent in October

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 36,751 mt in October 2019, down 1.6 percent from September and down 17.4 percent from October 2018 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $40.8 million in October, compared to $41.6 million in the previous month and $53.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in October with 23,760 mt, compared to 19,148 mt in September and 25,908 mt in October 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 11,933 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in October.
