According to delayed final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of cold finished bar totaled 11,867 mt in November 2018, down 26.8 percent from October. By value, cold finished bar imports totaled $18.9 million in November 2018, compared to $26.0 million in the previous month.
The US imported the most cold finished bar from Germany in November, with 2,329 mt, compared to 3,678 mt in October. Other top sources of imported cold finished bar in November include Canada, with 1,842 mt; Spain, with 1,674 mt; and Italy, with 1,183 mt.
