According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending August 12, the US rotary rig count increased by 39 from last week to 1,959. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 319 rigs.
Additionally, US oil rigs were up by 24 last week (up 419 year-on-year) and US gas rigs rose by 13 (down 96 year-on-year.
The Canadian rig count is up by 30 in the last week and is now at 464, representing a year-over-year increase of 69 rigs.
