Chicago, Illinois-based metal processing and distribution company, Joseph T. Ryerson and Son Inc., announced Friday it is considering opening a new 175,000 square-foot facility in Eldridge, Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Economic Development Board has already approved $150,000 in tax credits for the company Thursday, although development officials are said to be considering sites in Alabama and Texas as well.
The economic assistance package also includes another $270,000 from the Iowa New Jobs Training Fund, as the new plant could bring approximately 50 new jobs to the Eldridge area.
