According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending August 5, the US rotary rig count increased by 12 from last week to 1,920. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 315 rigs.
Both oil and gas rigs were up six in the last week, bringing US rigs drilling for oil up 420 year-on-year and gas rigs down 100.
The Canadian rig count is up by 39 in the last week and is now at 434, representing a year-on-year increase of 45 rigs.
