US and Brazil negotiate to remove trade barriers

US and Brazilian officials co-chaired the 21st plenary of the US-Brazil Commercial Dialogue in Brazil on November 4-7 with the aim to advance the commercial relationship between the countries and boost bilateral trade and investment.

The parties have shown their commitment to reduce and remove trade barriers.

Meanwhile, the US has made a quota deal with Brazil, alongside with Argentina, South Korea, the EU, Japan and the UK, exempting them from steel tariffs under Section 232.
