US AD and CVD petition filed against Chinese stainless pressure pipe

An antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) petition was filed against Chinese welded stainless steel pressure pipe Wednesday by an alliance of US pipe makers and the United Steelworkers of America.

The coalition of US pipe producers that filed the petition includes: Briston Metals LP, Felker Brothers Corp., Marcegaglia U.S.A. Inc., Outokumpu Stainless Pipe Inc.
 
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) will make its preliminary determination by March 17, following the Commission's investigative staff conference on February 20, 2008.
