Unemployment in Turkey rises to 13.9 percent in April

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey increased by 0.9 percentage points year on year to 13.9 percent in April this year and rose by 0.8 percentage points when compared to March.

Meanwhile, in April this year the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 44.4 percent, decreasing by 0.4 percentage points compared to the same month of the previous year.
