According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey increased by 2.7 percentage points year on year to 13.7 percent in 2019.
Meanwhile, last year the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 45.7 percent, decreasing by 1.7 percentage points compared to the previous year.
