Ukrainian steelmakers increase average daily steel output in December

According to local reports, over the first half of December Ukrainian steel producers have increased their average daily steel output, which had fallen to around 50 percent of the pre-crisis output level.

Over the first 16 days of December, Ukraine's average daily output of pig iron increased by 23 percent to 52,400 mt, the average daily output of crude steel rose by 21 percent to 64,300 mt, while the daily output of rolled steel products increased by 24.4 percent to 62,700 mt, all compared with the data for November.
