Ukrainian semi-finished steel imports increase in Jan-Nov

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in January-November of the current year Ukrainian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 8.1 percent year on year to 9.724 million mt.

In the January-November period of this year, Ukraine exported 5.113 million mt of steel slabs - down 0.3 percent, while exports of square billets dropped by 16.8 percent to 4.520 million mt, both compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, exports of semi-finished steel products from Ukraine increased by 24.2 percent in November compared to October, rising to 977,000 mt.

On the other hand, in January-November, Ukrainian imports of semi-finished steel products increased by 4.5 percent year on year to 443,000 mt.

In November alone, imports of semi-finished steel products to Ukraine decreased by 1.3 percent compared to October, falling to 42,500 mt.
