Ukrainian IU Donbass takes over 50% share of Duferco trading business

According to the information received from the sources within the Swiss based trading and producing company Duferco, Ukrainian group Industrial Union of Donbass is taking over the 50% stake of the trading business of the company. Duferco was established in 1979 by Bruno Bolfo, and widely spread its presence into North America, Far East and Europe afterwards. Ukraine's four out of eight largest steel makers, namely Azovstal, Alchevsk, Yenakievsky and Donetsk works are controlled by a group of companies including the Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD). In fact steel mills Azovstal with annual production capacity of 4.4 million tons, Alchevsk with 3.3 million mts, Energomashpetstal, Kramatorskii, Yenakievsky Steel and Donetsk Metal Works are all related to Donbass. The company is also linked with pipe producers such as Khartsyzsky and Dnepropetrovsk within Ukraine.
