Ukrainian exports of long and flat products in May 2006

According to the data released by the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, the country's exports of flat rolled products rose 1 percent, while that of long products rose 15.5 percent month on month to 784,100 tons and to 676,940 tons in May of 2006. Year on year index shows 11.2 percent decrease in export volumes of flat rolled products and 43.2 percent increase in export volumes of long products in May of 2006. In January-May of 2006, the exports of long products rose 5.3 percent, while that of flat rolled decreased 5.8 percent year on year to 2.8 million tons and to 3.7 million tons respectively.
