According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in January 2013 Ukraine's crude steel production will increase by 2.7 percent compared to November this year to 2.760 million mt.
According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.540 million mt in January, up 4.5 percent compared to November, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to be 2.520 million mt, up four percent compared to November.
In December, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.760 million mt of crude steel, 2.422 million mt of pig iron and 2.468 million mt of rolled steel.
According to Metallurgprom's forecast, in 2013 Ukraine's crude steel production will increase by 5.6 percent year on year to 34.4 million mt, pig iron output in Ukraine will total 29.9 million mt in 2013, up 4.6 percent compared to 2012, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to reach 31 million mt, up 6.4 percent year on year.
