Ukraine’s semi-finished steel exports decline in January-October

According to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in the January-October period this year Ukrainian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 22.2 percent year on year to 6.19 million mt, worth a total of $2.98 billion, down 45 percent year on year.
 
The exports in terms of value mostly went to Egypt (29.02 percent), Turkey (22.37 percent) and Italy (18.39 percent).
 
On the other hand, in the January-October period of the current year Ukrainian imports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 85.8 percent year on year to 4,663 mt, worth a total of $2.08 million, down 88.7 percent year on year.
 
The imports in terms of value mostly came from Russia (83.71 percent), the Czech Republic (12.1 percent) and Moldova (3.79 percent).
