Ukraine's Ministry of Coal Industry has said that it has accepted the offer of VTB Bank Kiev to obtain equipment worth UAH 2.2 billion (about $278.3 million) in 2010 under a leasing agreement with the bank.

In June, the ministry said that it plans to invest UAH 47.3 billion (about $6 billion) over the next five years (until 2015) for the implementation of development projects involving technical re-equipment and capital construction at 63 state-owned coal mines.
