Ukraine’s DEMZ ups steel output by 45 percent in January-October

Ukraine's Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant (DEMZ) has announced that in January-October this year its steel melting volume increased by 45 percent year on year to 626,600 mt.
According to the company, since April it has been operating at stable levels, with its steel output amounting to an average of 87,200 mt per month, which corresponds to its designed capacity. In October, DEMZ smelted 91,800 mt of liquid steel.

DEMZ said that it is fully secured with all necessary raw materials. Within the framework of preparations for operation in winter, in October the steelmaker increased its scrap stocks by 12,000 mt.

In November, DEMZ plans to smelt about 87,000 mt of steel.
