Ukraine ups rebar consumption in Jan-Apr

According to preliminary data, during the January-April 2007 period, rebar consumption in the Ukrainian domestic market increased by 58 percent year on year to 347,000 metric tons.

Ukrainian rebar exports in the given period decreased by one percent while imports dropped by 50 percent year on year, declining to 1.011 million metric tons and 15,000 metric tons respectively.
