Ukraine issues 2010 production results

According to preliminary data, in 2010 Ukraine registered a nine percent increase year on year in its finished steel product output to 29.197 million mt and a 9.6 percent rise in its crude steel output to 32.726 million mt.
 
In 2010, Ukraine saw a 6.5 percent increase in its pig iron production to 27.354 million mt and 6.8 percent growth in its coke output to 18.578 million mt, both compared to 2009. Meanwhile, in the year in question, Ukraine's production of steel pipes went up by 10.7 percent year on year to 1.754 million mt, while its output of hardware increased by 19.5 percent year on year to 269,900 mt.

In its iron ore segment, in 2010 Ukraine mined 77.13 million mt of iron ore - up 17 percent year on year. Its iron ore concentrate production increased by 16 percent to about 63.77 million mt, its agglomerate production went up by 13 percent to 39.556 million mt, while its pellet production rose by eight percent to 22.076 million mt, all compared to 2009.
