Ukraine faces import barriers

The Ministry of Industry Policy of Ukraine announced that the governments of Kuwait and Jordan bound Ukrainian steel producers to certify the radioactive safety of all steel product imports from Ukraine. Syria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are considering similar measures in the near future time. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, only a week ago the Ecological Committee of Russian State Duma recommended to impose moratorium on imports of all steel products from Ukraine because of the same concerns.
