Turkish metal producers’ selling prices up 34.84 percent in July

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year the producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general fell by 0.03 percent over the previous month and was up 10.34 percent year on year.
 
In July, the highest month-on-month increase in the PPI for industrial activity in Turkey was 4.37 percent in the index for the metallic minerals industry. The PPI for the basic metal industry was up 3.69 percent compared to June this year and up 34.86 percent compared to July last year.
 
On the other hand, in July this year the PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, increased by 1.13 percent over the previous month and was up 8.28 percent year on year.
