Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage down in Jan from Dec

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in January this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 75.4 percent, down from 77.9 percent recorded in December, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 77.4 percent in January last year.
 
Meanwhile, in January of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, decreased on month-on-month basis to 70.5 percent and was down from the 70.9 percent recorded in January 2013.
 
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 73.9 percent in January this year, decreasing compared to December and down from 72.4 percent in January last year.
