Turkey’s wire rod exports up 31.3 percent in January-October

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 64.3 percent year on year to 190,101 metric tons, remaining almost stable compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $104.7 million, down three percent month on month and rising by 63.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first ten months of the current year, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 31.3 percent to 1.4 million mt, while the revenue from these exports went up by 65 percent to $817.6 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Belgium which received 287,336 metric tons. Belgium was followed by Israel with 259,483 metric tons and the Netherlands with 166,961 metric tons.
