Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has announced that the examination and evaluation process within the scope of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) application made by Tosyalı Filmaşin ve İnşaat Demiri Üretim Sanayi, a subsidiary of Turkish steelmaker Tosyalı Holding, for its solar power plant project in Osmaniye in southern Turkey has been completed and has been approved.

For the project with an investment of TRY 80 million ($2.99 million), a total of 46,336 solar panels will be installed. The power plant, which will have an installed capacity of 24.79 MWm, is expected to annually produce 39.82 million kWh of energy. The electricity generated from the power plant will meet the energy needs of the company’s wire rod plant.
