On the other hand, the value of these exports decreased by 7.1 percent year on year and 4.2 percent month on month to $1.09 billion. Steel exports accounted for a 9.1 percent share in Turkey's total exports in the given period.

In the first 29 days of December this year, Turkey's steel bar exports fell 10.2 percent to 681,000 metric tons, its steel section exports rose by 41 percent to 168,000 metric tons, while billet exports declined by 57.6 percent to 49,000, all on year-on-year basis.
