Turkey’s steel exports decline slightly in March

In March this year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by a slight margin of 0.2 percent year on year to 1.58 million mt, while the value of these exports totaled $1.13, down 15 percent on year-on-year basis, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Exporters' Association (CIB).
 
In March of this year, Turkey's billet exports declined by 32.7 percent to 22,000 mt, while its bloom exports increased to 13,000 mt, up 11.4 percent. In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports totaled 13,000 mt, up four percent, while pipe exports amounted to 172,000 mt, up four percent, and long steel exports remained stable at 992,000 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
