According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's stainless flat steel imports fell by a slight margin of 0.44 percent compared to the previous month to 41,700 metric tons, following the 1.28 percent month-on-month increase recorded in August. The country's stainless flat steel imports were up 63.19 percent on year-on-year basis in September. The value of these imports was $95.92 million, increasing by 3.55 percent as compared to August and up 49.25 percent year on year.
In the first nine months of this year, Turkey's stainless flat steel imports amounted to 350,797 million metric tons, increasing by 29.14 percent, with a value of $834.52 million, up 18.29 percent, both year on year.
