Turkey’s rebar exports up 28 percent in October

According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in October this year Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 658,703 metric tons, increasing by 28 percent year on year and up by 7.4 percent from the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $464.76 million, rising by 54.21 percent compared to October 2010 and up 5.3 percent from the previous month of this year.

On the other hand, in the first 10 months of this year Turkey's rebar exports stood at 5.9 million metric tons, up 10.53 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $4.03 billion, increasing by 34.76 percent as compared to October 2010.

In October, Turkey's rebar exports to the UAE, the largest rebar export destination of Turkey, decreased 62.5 percent, while rebar exports to Singapore increased by 203.7 percent, both compared to September this year.
