Turkey’s rebar exports down 3.8 percent in Nov from Oct

According to the statistics provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in November this year Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 633,792 metric tons, increasing by 44.3 percent year on year but down 3.8 percent from the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $430.9 million, rising by 66.55 percent compared to November 2010 and down 7.3 percent from the previous month of this year.

On the other hand, in the first 11 months of the current year Turkey's rebar exports stood at 6.5 million metric tons, up 13 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $4.5 billion, increasing by 37.2 percent as compared to January-November 2010.

In January-November period this year, Turkey's rebar exports to the UAE, the largest rebar export destination of Turkey, increased by only 1.9 percent, while rebar exports to Singapore increased by 154.1 percent, both compared to the same period last year.
