According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in August this year Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 475,861 metric tons, decreasing by 4.8 percent year on year and down by 8.7 percent from the previous month of this year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $342.8 million, rising by 25.12 percent compared to August 2010 and falling 6.5 percent from the previous month of this year.
On the other hand, in the first eight months of this year, Turkey's rebar exports stood at 4.62 million metric tons, up 9.23 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $3.13 billion, increasing by 32.86 percent as compared to August 2010.
In August, Turkey's rebar exports to UAE, the largest rebar export destination of Turkey, declined 17.63 percent, while rebar exports to Israel increased 213 percent, both compared to July this year.
