According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 11,762 mt, decreasing by 7.4 percent compared to the previous month and down 11 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $9.7 million, down 6.2 percent month on month and falling by 17.1 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
During the first ten months of the current year, Turkey’s PPGI exports decreased by 24.6 percent to 76,589 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $65.4 million, down 28.4 percent, both year on year.
Bulgaria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-October period, with imports of 11,253 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Bulgaria was followed by Libya and Romania, with Libya’s PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 6,523 mt, while Romania received 6,155 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
