Turkey’s PPGI exports decrease by 22.7 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 10,772 mt, decreasing by 8.4 percent compared to the previous month and down five percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $8.7 million, down 10.3 percent month on month and falling by five percent compared to the same month of 2015. 
 
During the first 11 months of last year, Turkey’s PPGI exports decreased by 22.7 percent to 87,361 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $74.2 million, down 26.1 percent, both year on year.
 
Bulgaria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-November period, with imports of 12,781 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Bulgaria was followed by Romania and Libya, with Romania’s PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 7,930 mt, while Libya received 7,851 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
