Turkish PPGI imports up 83.2 percent in January-September

In September, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) imports amounted to 8,141 mt, down by 26.77 percent year on year, while the revenue from these imports totaled $6.3 million, falling by 22.6 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
 
In the first nine months of the current year, Turkey's PPGI imports increased by 83.2 percent to 76,075 mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $53.5 million, up 43 percent, both year on year.
 
In the given period, China ranked first among Turkey's PPGI import sources, supplying 52,423 metric tons, up 118.44 percent year on year. China was followed by Italy and Belgium, with their PPGI exports to Turkey amounting to 10,241 metric tons and 3,804 metric tons respectively.
