Turkey’s iron ore imports decrease by 23.8 percent in January-February

In February this year, Turkey's iron ore imports amounted to 395,597 metric tons, down 50.5 percent compared to January and decreasing by 53.4 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue of these imports totaled $46.1 million, decreasing by 49.1 percent compared to January and down 50.6 percent year on year. 

Meanwhile, in the January-February period this year, Turkey's iron ore imports amounted to 1.19 million metric tons, down 23.8 percent compared to the January-February period of last year, while the revenue of these imports totaled $136.75 million, decreasing by 30.3 percent year on year.
