Turkey’s flat steel exports rise in April over March

According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in April this year Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 182,967 metric tons, decreasing by 44.92 percent year on year and climbing by 3.51 times month on month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $117.37 million, declining by 21.23 percent compared to April 2009 and up 3.46 times month on month.
 
On the other hand, in the given month, the country's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 48,581 metric tons, down 72.33 percent year on year, but significantly higher than the previous month by 114.24 percent, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $34.49 million, down 63.71 percent as compared to April 2009 and up 117.36 percent month on month.
