According to the statistics provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in November this year Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 59,919 metric tons, decreasing by 49 percent year on year and down 40 percent compared to October this year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $42.6 million, falling by 46 percent compared to November 2010 and decreasing 46.7 percent from October this year.
In the January-November period, Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 1.6 million metric tons, climbing by 114 percent compared to the January-November period of 2010. In January-November Turkey's hot rolled flat steel exports to Italy, which is the largest hot rolled flat steel export destination of Turkey, increased by 376 percent compared to the same period last year, constituting 44 percent of the total HR flat steel exports of Turkey in the given period.

On the other hand, in the given month, Turkey's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 16,112 metric tons, decreasing by 48.62 percent year on year and up 15 percent compared to October this year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $14.94 million, decreasing by 36 percent as compared to November 2010 and up 13.6 percent compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of the year Turkey's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 128,852 metric tons, decreasing by 32.2 percent compared to the same period last year. Italy was the largest CR flat steel export destination in the period in question, amounting to 25,779 mt, up 26.1 percent year on year.
