Turkey’s export future is hopeful

A Turkish government official, the State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, said that Turkey's exports show a promising future. The country acquired an important role in electronics export to Europe over the years. The official also said that Turkey was on its way to having a major role in software exports also. Tuzmen said the country was targeting exports of €75 billion in 2005. The Minister said that according to official figures, one out of every two television sets sold in Europe and one out of every three washing machines being sold in England are produced in Turkey.
