Turkey's Asil Çelik to halt large section rolling mill for maintenance

Turkish specialty steel producer Asil Celik has announced that it will halt production at its large section rolling mill in Bursa, Turkey from December 14 to January 15 next week due to maintenance works. 

The company stated that the maintenance works will include the modernizing of the billet casting plant and the electrical equipment in the large section rolling mill to increase the product diameter from 220 millimeters to 250 millimeters, to increase the product quality, to reduce waste and to control product traceability automatically.

Asil Çelik also stated that production has already been carried out for both domestic and export orders to be dispatched in the given period.
